Marketing & Business Development Manager

Alecia is an ambitious and passionate marketing professional with an eye for detail and nearly 10 years of experience in the design and construction industry. With a career focus on integrated marketing communications and business development, she drives marketing strategy discussions and produces compelling content through digital, social, and print media that promotes positive brand recognition with past, present and future clients and employees.

As Marketing & Business Development Manager, Alecia played a key role in developing the brand and establishing the marketing infrastructure to support Ascent business aspirations. She oversees the Ascent marketing function, leading a team responsible for brand strategy, internal and external communications, and client relationship management, and proposal development.

Prior to joining Ascent, Alecia was Marketing Manager for a global design and consulting firm, where she led their program management division’s most successful integrated marketing campaigns. Prior to that, she worked in marketing for a consistently top-ranked program and project management company based in Chicago.

Alecia is passionate about the arts and exploring new ways to connect artists to unique opportunities. She holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago.

Lisa Leemans

Chief Financial Officer

Lisa is a hands-on leader and a critical thinker with 20 + years of executive-level financial leadership experience. She has dedicated her career to providing financial strategy and oversight for professional services firms that promote growth and company success. She brings tactical expertise to support development and execution of short, medium and long term business plans.

As Chief Financial Officer at Ascent, Lisa provides strategic leadership to establish and realize financial and business growth goals for the company. Additionally, she manages the financial functions including accounting, financial and management reporting, billing, and payroll.

Prior to joining Ascent Lisa held various positions providing strategic financial leadership for 100+ person professional services firms, managing annual budgets in excess of $20 million.

Lisa is passionate about traveling and seeing the world. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Saint Xavier University in Chicago.

Amy Litterski

Human Resources & Recruiting Manager

Amy is a compassionate, people-focused human resources professional with more than 12 years of experience in private-sector recruiting and talent acquisition. She has recruited at all different levels within organizations, from interns to senior-level and c-suite executives and is enthusiastic about connecting people with opportunities that best suit them. Her passion for people has driven her to promote and maintain company cultures that put people first.

As Human Resources and Recruiting Manager at Ascent, Amy manages company-wide talent acquisition. She is responsible for attracting and retaining talent to protect Ascent’s reputation for hiring the best and the brightest. Amy manages all Human Resources functions, including but not limited to recruiting and talent acquisition, performance management, onboarding, employee relations, as well as development of internal employee development programs. She also connects Ascent employees to community engagement and volunteer opportunities.

Prior to joining Ascent, Amy was a Corporate Recruiter for a national firm that manages marketing supply chain and distribution services for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, Amy worked for one of Chicago’s leading recruitment firms.

Amy is an avid runner, and participates in several races for charitable causes each year. She holds a Bachelor in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Bill McKenna

Vice President, Northeast Region

Bill has nearly 20 years of experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors. He brings detailed knowledge and best practices to each program and has spent the majority of his career working with clients in the Northeastern US. His experience holding senior construction management and ownership roles allows him to provide a unique perspective to each client. Bill’s project experience includes higher education campus buildings, rail and transit, pharmaceutical/biotechnical campus renovations and multi-family residential housing developments.

Bill leads the Ascent Northeast region and is currently overseeing the team delivering Harvard University’s new Smith Campus Center project.

Guenther Preuhs

Executive Vice President, Program Controls

Guenther has nearly 20 years of program and project management experience in the construction industry in the US and Austria. He is a controls expert and has led controls teams for multi-billion dollar construction programs at the Public Building Commission of Chicago, the Chicago Department of Water Management, and the Chicago Housing Authority. His project experience also includes multi-national client programs, water, and wastewater systems, residential buildings, civic buildings, medical facilities, universities, airports, tollways and highways, and highspeed railways. He is currently leading the implementation of a program management information system for a large transit organization in the Northeast.

Guenther leads Ascent’s national Program and Project Controls practice.

Rob Rejman

Vice President, Central Region

Rob is a recognized leader with over 20 years of experience in the planning and implementation of transformative capital investments, with a value exceeding $1 billion in the Chicago area. As the former Director of Planning and Construction for the Chicago Park District, Rob managed the acquisition of over 1000 acres of parkland, and oversaw projects teams completing an average of 325 projects a year. His work encompasses some of the most celebrated civic projects in Chicago, including Maggie Daley Park, 606/Bloomingdale Trail, Northerly Island, the Chicago Shoreline Protection Project, the Chicago River Boat Houses, 31st Street Harbor, and La Villita - one of the largest urban brownfield to park conversions in the country.

Rob leads the Ascent Central region.

Leif has a passion fro building industry-leading program and project management firms. Prior to launching Ascent, Leif worked for leading program management companies across globe and built Rise - a firm repeatedly ranked by ENR as one of the top U.S. program management companies.

Roe Sturgulewski

Vice President, Pacific North West Region

Roe has more than 35 years of Alaska construction, public works/utilities and capital improvement program management experience. He has worked as a contractor, engineer, and owner providing a well-rounded and practical problem-solving perspective. Roe has successfully delivered some of Alaska's most high-profile and complex construction programs. He provided project and construction management services for the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport’s Capital Improvement Program and recent tenant improvements for a Terminal Redevelopment. Roe’s project experience includes programs for airports, ports, public utilities, convention centers, cultural institutions, and other public facilities in Alaska.

Roe leads the Ascent Alaska practice as part of the Pacific Northwest region.
